Children’s Museum Klipp Klapp, Oelde
A place full of history: History comes to life in this watermill, which is almost 300 years old. Young and old visitors can experience the clattering of the mill and rushing of the river up close – an impressive testimony of traditional craftsmanship. The museum invites you to explore the interactive exhibits: immerse yourself in the world “From grain to flour” and get a hands-on insight into how grain is turned into fine flour.
Horse-riding
In the Warendorf district you can experience and be thrilled by the world of horse-riding. Professional and amateur riders alike will find first-class facilities: riding trails, riding arenas, studfarms and riding holiday farms in perfectly scenic settings. The equestrian town of Warendorf is home to the FN, the walk of fame of horse-riding professionals and the renowned state-owned NRW studfarm.
