Make it in Germany
“Make it in Germany“ is the portal run by the Federal Government for recruiting professionals from abroad. It provides general information on jobs, visa regulations and life in Germany.
Kommunales Integrationsmanagement (KIM)
The Municipal Integration Management (KIM) in the Warendorf district strengthens the integration of people with a migration background – in their private environment and in companies – through a closely networked system of authorities, specialists and welfare associations. Services from immigration to naturalisation are coordinated in a target-group-oriented and solution-focused way with various partners from the network. The service is free of charge, voluntary and open to everyone seeking advice, regardless of residence status, thus making a significant contribution to equal-opportunity participation.
FAI – NRW Fachkräfte Agentur International
The NRW International Skilled Workers Agency (FAI NRW) is a project within the NRW skilled-workers initiative that provides practical support to companies in North Rhine-Westphalia in recruiting and sustainably integrating international professionals. The focus is on individual advice, workshops, checklists and information events covering administrative procedures, visa questions, onboarding processes and family-related aspects. It connects employers, chambers, the employment agency, municipalities and other stakeholders in order to avoid duplicate structures, promote fair recruitment standards and establish a culture of welcome.
IHK Nord Westfalen
The Chambers of Industry and Commerce provide companies with comprehensive advice on the legal framework for employing international professionals – e.g. on visas, recognition of professional qualifications, residence permits or the Skilled Immigration Act. They accompany the entire process from recruitment to integration within the company. In many cases they are the competent authority for the recognition of professional qualifications obtained abroad.
Bundesagentur für Arbeit
The Federal Employment Agency supports employers in recruiting international professionals through advice, job placement and participation in programmes such as “Make it in Germany” or the ZAV service (Central Placement Office for foreign and specialist recruitment). In certain cases it checks labour-market admission, coordinates with immigration authorities and accompanies recognition and entry procedures. It also funds qualification measures for international professionals and supports their integration into the German labour market through targeted funding instruments.
Kreishandwerkerschaft Steinfurt- Warendorf
The Kreishandwerkerschaft (district craftsmen’s association) supports companies through its skilled-workers service in order to meet the demand for international professionals efficiently. Through vocational training partnerships with institutions worldwide, it promotes the transfer of know-how, strengthens the dual system “Made in Germany” and positions itself as a globally active education partner. As a regional business and employers’ association, it is also active internationally in vocational training and carries out educational measures abroad as well as training for international guests in its education centres.
